Kilchoman unveils 100% Islay 15th Edition

Islay-grown barley and a slightly lower peating level create a more viscous palate, with elevated citrus and malty notes compared to Machir Bay and Sanaig. Bottled at 50% ABV, the 100% Islay 15th Edition carries even more intensity.

From barley field to bottle, the 100% Islay range tells the story of the land and the people – Islay’s only single farm, single malt. Born from barley sown in Kilchoman’s own fields, malted and distilled by hand, matured in on-site warehouses, and bottled at the distillery, the whisky never leaves Islay until it is ready to be shared.

Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, describes the 15th Edition:

“Fresh vanilla gives way to tropical fruit, toasted oak, and salted butter, with layers of candied fruits, ripe pear, white pepper and waves of peat smoke.”

The release is available in the UK and Europe this week and will reach further markets in the coming weeks.

Alongside this launch, Kilchoman has announced a special 20th Anniversary Prize Draw. To mark two decades since filling their first casks on December 14th, 2005, whisky lovers will have the chance to win the very first bottle of 20 Year Old Kilchoman, drawn directly from Cask No.1.

Kilchoman is a family-run farm distillery based on the rugged west coast of Islay. Established in 2005 by Anthony Wills, the distillery has always embraced the traditions of farm distilling – growing barley, malting, distilling, maturing, and bottling every drop of the 100% Islay range on site.
