Bruichladdich Distillery has launched the 16th series of its super-heavily peated Octomore brand, featuring three new releases: Octomore 16.1, Octomore 16.2, and Octomore 16.3.
Octomore 16.1
- Matured entirely on Islay for five years
- Distilled in 2019 from the 2018 harvest of 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley
- Full term maturation in first-fill Bourbon barrels
- Peated to 101.4 PPM
- Bottled at 59.3% ABV

Tasting notes: salted caramel, honeyed melon, apricot, chocolate, coconut, earthy minerality, and lingering smoke.
Octomore 16.2
- Matured entirely on Islay for five years
- Distilled in 2019 from 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto barley
- Matured in Oloroso and Bordeaux casks, then recasked into Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel casks for a final year
- Peated to 101.4 PPM
- Bottled at 58.1% ABV

Octomore 16.3
- Matured entirely on Islay for five years
- Distilled in 2019 from 100% Islay-grown Concerto barley from Octomore Farm
- Full term maturation in Bourbon, Sauternes, and Pedro Ximénez casks
- Peated to 189.5 PPM
- Bottled at 61.6% ABV

A fourth expression, Octomore 16.4, will launch as a distillery exclusive on November 4th, 2025, completing the series.
