Kilchoman Distillery has announced the release of Cask No.1 – 20 Years Old, a truly one-of-a-kind single malt and the very first cask filled at the Islay farm distillery. This bottling is limited to just 1 bottle worldwide and will be made available via prize draw.
The presentation of Cask No.1 reflects Kilchoman’s dedication to traditional whisky making and craftsmanship. The casing, created with five different production techniques and paper sourced from family-owned G.F Smith, offers both a tactile and visual tribute to the distillery’s journey. The lid’s layered textures represent Kilchoman’s organic growth, while the bottle itself, engraved on Islay, features the distillery skyline.
Inside, the owner will also discover a handwritten note from Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills, who personally filled this cask two decades ago:
“It has been a journey, not always smooth, but immensely fulfilling.”
Tickets for the prize draw are now available through the Kilchoman website, with the draw closing in December once the cask officially turns 20 years old.
