Jura Celebrates Fèis Ìle 2025 with Distillery-Exclusive Single Cask Release

Following the success of the 2024 edition—a 15-year-old single malt matured in first fill bourbon casksJura Distillery returns for Fèis Ìle 2025 with a new exclusive bottling to mark the island’s whisky celebrations. Jura Day, held on 30 May 2025, invites visitors to the distillery for live music, cocktails, boat trips, and rare whisky experiences.

This year’s release is a single cask whisky from cask #1895, distilled on 12 September 2007 and bottled on 3 May 2025. Matured in an unspecified sherry cask and bottled at 55.3% ABV, the release is limited to just 300 bottles, available only at the Jura Distillery during the festival. The price is available on request at the distillery.

According to Joe Ricketts, whisky maker at Jura, this cask continues the story of their 2022 release from cask #1892—a bold Oloroso butt—by extending the maturation period and deepening the profile. The result is a whisky with notes of candied citrus, dried plums, hazelnuts, and layers of polished leather and bitter chocolate, shaped by full sherry maturation.

Kirsty Wright, speaking for Jura Distillery, highlighted the importance of the local community and personal connection to this release:

“People who know Jura, know Jura whisky. As a Scottish island community, we value every visitor, which is why this bottling is exclusively for those who join us during our whisky festival. This edition celebrates a different take on Jura’s fruit-forward, balanced style—perfect for sharing with friends and family.”
