Big Peat Unveils Limited Edition Bottlings for Fèis Ìle 2025

Following last year’s well-received release, Big Peat returns for Fèis Ìle 2025 with two new limited editions that celebrate the smoky spirit of Islay.

The Big Peat Fèis Ìle 2025 Limited Edition is a 2010 vintage, bottled at 50% ABV and priced at €84 in selected retailers. A small batch Islay blended malt matured in specially selected hogsheads, it delivers Big Peat’s trademark profile: sweet smoke, salty maritime notes, and a barbecue-driven finish, all uncoloured and non-chill filtered.

Also unveiled is a Single Cask Islay Single Malt, personally selected by Douglas Laing Chairman Fred Laing. Distilled at Caol Ila in 2010, matured in a refill hogshead, and bottled at 55.4% cask strength, only 150 bottles have been produced. Each bottle is hand-numbered and signed by Fred Laing and will be available exclusively on Islay during Fèis Ìle.

Big Peat Brand Manager, Chloe Wood, commented:
“Big Peat has always told the story of Islay. With this release, we’re highlighting the importance of cask selection and blending mastery—this whisky shows Big Peat in his purest form.”

Fred Laing added:
“We chose this cask because it met every benchmark for a classic Islay single malt: citrus, salty sweetness, nuts, and oak. It’s a release we’re proud to offer only to those who make the journey to Islay.”

Both expressions mark Big Peat’s continued tribute to Islay’s whisky heritage during the annual Fèis Ìle celebration.
