Jura Whisky Unveils Rare Limited Edition for Fèis Ìle Festival 2024

Jura Whisky proudly introduces a rare Fèis Ìle Edition 2024 matured in First fill bourbon cask for 15 years to celebrate this year’s Fèis Ìle festival, an annual gathering of whisky enthusiasts from around the world who come to experience the island whisky-making communities of Islay and Jura.

At the heart of this release is the deep connection between the Scottish island of Jura, its people, and the Jura Distillery. This exclusive bottling is a tribute to the unique island community and the exceptional whisky produced there. Limited to fewer than 200 bottles, this edition will be available only to those visiting Jura Distillery in person during the Fèis Ìle festival.

Joe Ricketts, Whisky Maker, shared his excitement about the release: “In this bottling for Fèis Ìle, we’ve created a fantastic whisky that truly showcases the distillery’s character. On the nose, Jura’s characteristic flavors come together with fruity notes of citrus peels and peach, alongside mineral and oily characteristics that capture the coastal environment, and a hint of toasted cereal.

“On the palate, you’ll find peach crumble, vanilla pod, and a slight zing of preserved lemon, rounding off with subtle mineral notes together with gorse flower, spearmint, and Williams pear.”

Exclusivity and Tradition

Graham Geddes, Jura Distillery Manager, emphasized the importance of the island community and the exclusivity of this release: “People who know Jura, know our whisky. Our island community appreciates each visitor, which is why this release is exclusively available to those that join us for our whisky festival. Jura quietly makes brilliant whisky. This release is no exception, celebrating the start of the summer with its fruity, balanced characteristics, ideal to share with friends and family. With our whisky, we want to offer as many people as possible a truly unique flavor of our island home, and we feel this Fèis Ìle release does exactly this.
