Independent bottler Whisky 1901 has unveiled its latest whisky range, The Ledger Series, a collection of carefully selected single cask releases designed to showcase the provenance, individuality and character of some of Scotland’s most respected distilleries.
Founded with a focus on exceptional cask selection and premium presentation, Whisky 1901 aims to highlight the unique stories behind every whisky it bottles, offering enthusiasts and collectors a deeper connection to the distilleries and casks that shape each release.
The new series takes inspiration from traditional record-keeping ledgers, reflecting the importance of documenting every cask’s journey from distillation to bottling. Each release is chosen for its ability to express a distinct distillery style while delivering exceptional flavour and maturity.
The first release in the range, Miltonduff 18 Year Old, was bottled at the end of 2025 and now serves as the foundation of the collection. It is joined by five additional expressions released in 2026:

All bottlings carry age statements ranging from 11 to 21 years old, offering a diverse selection of whisky styles from across Scotland.
Matt Chambers, Whisky 1901’s Master of Whisky, explained that the goal of The Ledger Series is to focus entirely on the individuality of each cask.
“With The Ledger Series, we’ve handpicked every whisky not just for its age, but for how it expresses its own distillery character. Each cask tells its own story and once that cask is gone, it’s gone.”
Alongside The Ledger Series, Whisky 1901 continues to develop The Collection, its ultra-premium annual release programme featuring exceptionally rare whiskies selected by Chambers.
The Collection has already gained significant recognition through two releases:
Edition One: Glenburgie 35 Year Old – winner of Best Single Cask Single Malt (Speyside) at the World Whisky Awards 2025
Edition Two: Jura 25 Year Old
The Glenburgie 35 Year Old has also earned awards at the Luxury Masters, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

The Ledger Series is available now through selected specialist retailers, including Master of Malt and directly from Whisky 1901, with prices ranging from £125 to £160.
Meanwhile, The Collection releases remain available through registration via Whisky 1901, with the award-winning Glenburgie 35 Year Old priced at £1,325 and Jura 25 Year Old at £500.
As Whisky 1901 continues to expand its portfolio, both ranges are expected to grow with future releases exploring new distilleries, cask types and flavour profiles.
