Tomintoul Distillery, located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, has introduced three new small-batch expressions to its innovative non-age statement cask finish collection. The latest releases—Amarone Wine Cask Finish, Madeira Cask Finish, and Tempranillo Wine Cask Finish—are crafted under the expert guidance of Master Distiller Robert Fleming. Each whisky begins its journey in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being finished in specially selected wine barrels, offering a diverse flavor profile that adds richness and complexity to Tomintoul’s signature smooth style.
These new expressions, bottled at 40% ABV, highlight the distillery’s commitment to experimenting with unique finishes, catering to various palates. The Amarone Wine Cask Finish brings forth notes of cherry and baking spices, while the Madeira Cask Finish offers flavors of summer berries and chocolate. The Tempranillo Wine Cask Finish rounds out the collection with a blend of strawberry jam and toasted oak.
