In celebration of Roka’s 20th anniversary, the Japanese distillery Chichibu has crafted a special blended malt whisky, incorporating rare liquid from the long-closed Hanyu distillery. Chichibu, established in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, is known for its artisanal approach, and this release merges Chichibu’s single malt with one of the last remaining Hanyu casks, resulting in a unique expression. Available across Roka’s London locations, this whisky features aromas of caramel and hazelnut, with stone fruit and jasmine notes, culminating in a white peppercorn finish.
This special release will be celebrated with an exclusive dinner on 9 September, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, at Roka Mayfair, London. The event will feature a curated menu, paired drinks, and a 200ml bottle of the whisky for guests to take home.
Starting in September, the whisky will be available at all four of Roka’s London locations for £24 (25ml) and £48 (50ml), while stocks last.
