Lindores Abbey Distillery proudly introduces THIRON 2024, the first of an annual series of limited-edition whiskies. This exceptional release, inspired by the Tironensian monks who founded Lindores Abbey in 1191, is a blend of history and craftsmanship.
Maturing in casks handcrafted from Thiron Oak and seasoned STR and Bourbon casks, the whisky offers complex flavors of vanilla, butterscotch, and fruity plum jam, with subtle notes of cinnamon, ginger, and roasted chestnuts. Each sip embodies the legacy of the monks, with the wood for the casks sustainably replaced by new oaks planted at Thiron Gardais.
This limited-edition whisky of ABV 49.4% will be available from September 12, 2024, at the distillery’s Visitor Centre, online, and through select UK stockists. With no purchase limit, it’s an opportunity to own a piece of history that celebrates the enduring connection between Thiron Abbey and Lindores Abbey.
