Tomatin Expands Global Travel Retail Range with Exclusive 13-Year-Old Double Cask

Tomatin has unveiled its latest travel retail exclusive, the Tomatin Double Cask 13-Year-Old Single Malt, available now at selected global travel retail outlets. Matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, this smooth Highland single malt embodies the distillery’s flagship style.

Bottled at 43% ABV and priced at £54.95 (€64.90 EUR), the whisky presents a nose of baked apples and pears with clove-spiced caramel and tropical aromas of coconut and guava. The palate delivers chocolatey granola, yoghurt-coated dried cranberries, and sultanas with a touch of cinnamon.

Refreshed Design & Expanding Travel Retail Portfolio

This 1-litre exclusive will replace the Tomatin 12-Year-Old in global travel retail while maintaining availability in domestic markets. The new packaging features a rich purple color for enhanced shelf appeal, with gold detailing symbolizing tree rings— a tribute to Tomatin’s wood policy and dedication to cask quality.

Tomatin’s global travel retail lineup also includes:

  • Tomatin 8 Year Old – A vanilla-sweet whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks (£42 GBP / €47.50 EUR). Now featuring refreshed teal blue packaging with gold accents.
  • Tomatin 16 Year Old – A luxurious single malt finished in Portuguese Moscatel wine barriques (£74.95 GBP / €89.90 EUR).
  • Tomatin 21 Year Old – A whisky matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks (£190 GBP / €224.90 EUR).
  • Tomatin 45 Year Old – A rare release aged in Oloroso sherry casks, limited to just 250 bottles (€5,500 EUR).

The Tomatin 8-Year-Old will also adopt the refreshed design, launching in summer 2025.

Tomatin has partnered with Rumesco Agencies since 2017, strengthening its presence in European travel retail. Graham Nicolson, Tomatin’s Global Sales Director, emphasized the importance of this expansion:

“Our global travel retail range showcases the unrivaled variety and quality of casks we have at Tomatin. The 13-Year-Old is a natural evolution in our portfolio, and updating our packaging reflects our ongoing brand progression. We want to highlight the influence of oak in whisky-making, which is why gold detailing now plays a key role in our design.”

Tomatin’s history dates back to the 15th century, with its modern distillery established in 1897. The Tomatin Double Cask 13-Year-Old is now available at major airports, including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Istanbul, as well as other travel retail outlets worldwide.
