The Macallan has announced the latest release in its Distil Your World series, a limited-edition single malt inspired by Hong Kong. Created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chefs Joan, Josep, and Jordi Roca, this release follows previous editions dedicated to Mexico, New York, and London.
Crafted by The Macallan’s Lead Whisky Maker, Euan Kennedy, Distil Your World Hong Kong is aged in a selection of Sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads and American oak casks, aiming to reflect the city’s fusion of tradition and modernity. The whisky presents aromas of dried spices, ginger, cinnamon, and honey, while the palate delivers notes of grapefruit, pomelo, mango, and umami.
To accompany the release, The Macallan and the Roca brothers have produced a documentary titled Reimagining Spaces, capturing their exploration of Hong Kong’s gastronomy and urban landscape. The whisky’s vibrant royal blue packaging, featuring artwork by Hong Kong artist Pat WingShan Wong (Flyingpig), represents the city’s waters and community spirit.
Euan Kennedy described the whisky as “big and bold, reflecting the structure of Hong Kong, from the rising skyline to the green peaks behind. A whisky with many layers, to be returned to again and again.”

The Macallan Distil Your World Hong Kong will be available in Asia Travel Retail and select markets in the Asia-Pacific region from April 2025 at a suggested price of US$4,750 (700ml). Fewer than 500 bottles will be available for pre-sale to private clients in the US this month, followed by a wider release in September 2025.
