Crafted in collaboration with renowned Malaysian-Chinese artist Red Hong Yi, famous for her unconventional techniques, Chapter One embodies original perspectives both in artistry and whisky-making. Inspired by her travels and using methods like fire-charred parchment, Red Hong Yi’s unique artwork adorns the bottle, paying homage to the influence of her journey from Borneo to Scotland.
Inside the bottle, the whisky is finished in charred American Oak and European Red Wine Casks, delivering a deep red-amber hue in tribute to the artist’s favourite colour. The flavour profile weaves together creamy toffee, sweet vanilla, and layers of pear, red berry compote, and dried fruits, adding depth to this innovative release.
According to Kevin Balmforth, The Glenlivet Cask Master, this collection continues their 200-year legacy of innovation, celebrating collaborations with creatives who push boundaries.
Available now at Singapore Changi Airport for $100 USD, Chapter One will roll out to select duty-free stores worldwide by the end of October. Future chapters promise more bold expressions, combining artistry and whisky-making excellence.
