This inaugural bottling reflects the collection’s mission to honour Scotch whisky’s origins while offering a contemporary, accessible whisky experience for today’s global audience. The design features a distinctive red label and shield emblem, nodding to the royal burgh of Falkland and its connection to Friar Jon Cor’s 1494 commission by King James IV for “eight bolls of malt.”
Sourced from Speyside, Scotland’s most densely populated whisky region, the whisky benefits from the area’s soft water and temperate climate—ideal for producing approachable, smooth and well-balanced spirits. The use of re-fill Oloroso casks introduces subtle notes of dried fruits, toasted nuts, and gentle spice, enhancing the natural character of the spirit.
Described by the brand as “bright and expressive”, the whisky is aimed at a wide audience. Its versatility makes it suitable for sipping neat, adding water, or enjoying in cocktails.
