The Distillers One of One® has unveiled the first extraordinary lots for its much-anticipated third auction, which will take place on Friday, 10 October 2025, at the historic Hopetoun House near Edinburgh, in collaboration with Sotheby’s.
Now firmly established as the largest global charity auction of rare Scotch whisky ever staged, the event unites the Scotch whisky industry in a shared spirit of generosity and purpose. This year’s auction will feature 40 exceptional lots from 36 distinguished donor companies, with all proceeds supporting the Youth Action Fund – a transformative initiative focused on helping young people in Scotland, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Since its inaugural auction in 2021, The Distillers One of One has raised an impressive £4.3 million, directly supporting over 3,300 young people to date. Through consistent annual funding of approximately £1 million, the Fund has delivered over 2,270 employability outcomes, including jobs, apprenticeships, further education, and structured volunteering. Additionally, more than 16,400 soft outcomes such as increased wellbeing and motivation, and 12,600 progression milestones like literacy, mentoring, and life skills training, have been achieved — helping build strong foundations for lasting success.
A Glimpse into This Year’s Lots
Highlights from the first lots revealed include:
- Port Ellen – Bespoke Glass Sculpture
Marking its 200th anniversary, this rare single malt from Diageo is encased in a custom-designed sculpture, accompanied by a private distillery experience. - The Glen Grant Eternal 77-Year-Old
Presented in a handblown magnum decanter, this is the oldest whisky in the auction, aged in a Sherry-seasoned butt since 1948. - The Glenlivet SPIRA (60 Year Old)
The oldest expression ever released from The Glenlivet, encased in the elegant Spira decanter and estimated between £60,000–£110,000. - Aberlour “The Mouth of the Chattering Burn” (53 Year Old)
A remarkable, one-of-one decanter crafted by acclaimed Swedish glass artisans, with an estimated value of £20,000–£40,000. - The Glendronach “Arias in Time”
A four-part symphonic release from 1968 to 1990, housed in a bespoke bronze sculpture by Osanna Visconti.
- Laphroaig Capsule (40 Year Old)
A historic expression from 1980–81, captured in a platinum-plated capsule and handblown decanter by Glencairn.
- Gordon & MacPhail Anniversary Trilogy
Featuring a 75-Year-Old Glen Grant, 52-Year-Old Benromach, and the first ever release from The Cairn.
- KANDOBLANC “Dragon in Clouds”
An exquisite art piece housing a 60-Year-Old single malt, blending Japanese and Venetian craftsmanship.
- Ladyburn 1966 “Marilyn Monroe by Sam Shaw”
A unique single bottle release paired with an iconic photograph by Sam Shaw.
- Old Pulteney Polaris (47 Year Old)
The oldest ever Old Pulteney, presented in blue glass and Caithness slate, accompanied by a tasting sample.
- The Last Drop “Private Blending Experience”
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a personal blend with Colin Scott at Scone Palace.
- Royal Brackla 54 Year Old
Encased in handmade crystal by La Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis.
- Aberfeldy 49 Year Old
The distillery’s oldest ever release, also housed in a custom Saint-Louis decanter.
- Gleann Mór “Rare Find – The Age of Change”
A trilogy totalling 109 years of maturation from Littlemill, Miltonduff, and Springbank.
- House of Hazelwood & Huntsman of Savile Row
A bespoke whisky and tailoring experience blending Savile Row craft with rare, aged whisky blending.
