Talisker has unveiled its latest limited edition single malt Scotch whisky: The Wild Blue. Bottled in 100% recycled glass, each bottle represents a £3 donation to the Blue Marine Foundation, with a total contribution of £112,608 supporting the restoration of vital coastal habitats.
Talisker The Wild Blue (48.2% ABV) was matured for over 16 months in red wine casks from the Atlantic coast of South Africa—the first time Talisker has used this cask type. The result is a whisky that balances Talisker’s signature maritime smokiness with deep, fruit-forward notes.
On the nose, expect aromas of drying seaweed, sea breeze-soaked rocks, red wine, and dried cranberries. The palate brings berry fruits, orchard apples, a pinch of sea salt, and a signature Talisker chilli warmth, followed by a long, smooth and sweetly peated finish.
Available now on selected markets, Talisker The Wild Blue is priced at £82 / €95 per 70cl bottle.
