Lagavulin has just launched its latest limited-edition release in collaboration with actor Nick Offerman: the Lagavulin: Offerman Edition Caribbean Rum Cask Finish Aged 11 Years.
Inspired by Offerman’s passion for sailing and the sea, this expression represents a fusion of Caribbean and Scottish influences. Aged for 11 years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, followed by over 8 months in ex-Caribbean rum casks, the whisky boasts enticing flavors of charred embers, crème brûlée, sea salt, and lemon meringue pie. On the palate, expect notes of toffee, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Nick Offerman humorously describes this creation as his “perfect dram” for enjoying mermaid musicals, embodying his whimsical Scottish-Caribbean underwater siren-princess fantasy.
This Scotch recently won a Double Gold medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, continuing the streak of accolades for Lagavulin: Offerman Edition releases. Bottled at 46% ABV, it’s priced at £99.99 and available in select countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, China, Taiwan, Australia, and at Lagavulin’s distillery website.
