Bruichladdich Distillery is set to launch its latest experimental creation, the Rock’ndaal 03.1, as part of its annual Fèis Ìle expressions. This unique small-batch release embodies the distillery’s adventurous cask exploration policy, showcasing a blend of distinctive flavors and maturation profiles.
The Rock’ndaal 03.1 is a limited edition whisky with only 3,000 bottles released. It offers a complex and sweet profile, featuring ripe orchard fruits, layered spices, and the signature citrus and floral style that Bruichladdich is known for.
This expression is a captivating mix of Sauternes casks and dessert wine casks from Austria, which contribute to the sweetness and fruity character. Additionally, ex-brandy casks previously used for Pedro Ximenez Sherry aging impart hints of nutmeg, ginger, dried apricot, and stoned fruits, adding depth and complexity to the whisky.
Bruichladdich’s iconic aqua bottle for Rock’ndaal 03.1 is adorned with block colors inspired by European music festivals of the 90s and 00s, featuring abstract geometric patterns depicting elements of the distillation process.
Pre-orders for Bruichladdich Rock’ndaal 03.1 50% ALC./VOL open on Monday, May 13th, and this bottle will be priced at £100.00.
