Gordon & MacPhail has launched the third edition of their Recollection Series, introducing six extraordinarily rare single-cask whiskies from closed or long-silent distilleries. This exclusive series, dubbed “Forgotten Masterpieces,” showcases single malts from the legendary Rosebank, Glenlochy, Convalmore, Imperial, North Port, and Port Ellen distilleries. Each release, bottled at cask strength, captures a moment in whisky history, ranging from a 32-year maturation for Rosebank to an exceptional 44-year maturation for Glenlochy.
This series continues Gordon & MacPhail’s mission to preserve and showcase whiskies from lost distilleries through their carefully curated cask selections. Stuart Urquhart, the company’s Operations Director, emphasized the value of the longstanding relationships with these distilleries, enabling the company to maintain a “liquid library” of historic single malts. Emmy-winning artist Bruno Mangyoku’s artwork accompanies the release, providing a visual tribute to each distillery’s legacy.
