Following our previous article on Macallan’s 200th anniversary, we now highlight another major milestone in the whisky world. Fettercairn is celebrating its bicentenary with the launch of the Fettercairn 200th Anniversary Collection. We also extend our congratulations to Macallan and Fettercairn and wish them continued success for the next 200 years.

The Fettercairn 200th Anniversary Collection consists of six single malt bottles, ranging in age from 3 to 60 years, collectively summing up to 200 year
Fettercairn 1964 – Rare 60 Year Old

This 60-year-old whisky is the oldest in the collection and the oldest ever released by Fettercairn. Distilled in 1964, the same year distillery manager Stewart Walker was born, it represents the distillery’s rich heritage and forward-looking vision.
Fettercairn 1973 – Rare 49 Year Old
The 49-year-old whisky from 1973 marks the construction of the last dunnage warehouse at Fettercairn, built during a time when the industry was shrinking, showing the distillery’s commitment to future growth.
Fettercairn 1988 – Rare 35 Year Old
The 35-year-old whisky from 1988 honors Douglas Cooper, Fettercairn’s longest-serving distillery manager, who played a key role in introducing the copper cooling ring, an innovation still in use today.
Fettercairn 1995 – Rare 28 Year Old
This 28-year-old whisky is a passion project of master whisky maker Gregg Glass. It reflects his philosophy of meticulous cask selection and monthly attention to craft a distinctive spirit.
Fettercairn 1998 – Rare 25 Year Old
The 25-year-old whisky from 1998 showcases Fettercairn’s tropical house style, matured in ex-cognac casks to enhance unique tropical flavors.
Fettercairn 2021 – Rare 3 Year Old

The youngest whisky in the collection, this 3-year-old from 2021, signifies the launch of the Scottish Oak program, an initiative aimed at creating a circular economy using locally grown Scottish Oak to impart incredible flavors to the whisky.

Presentation and Availability
The collection is presented in a custom, hand-crafted Scottish Oak display cabinet, featuring elements of wood, brass, and copper, with patina accents. Each bottle is placed on an individual coaster detailing its tasting notes.
Only 10 sets of the Fettercairn 200th Anniversary Collection will be available worldwide, starting in September 2024, at a price of £100,000. The collection will be accessible in select markets, including Taiwan, Singapore, the UK, France, and Canada.
