Buffalo Trace Expands Eagle Rare Lineup with New 12-Year-Old Bourbon

Buffalo Trace Distillery has introduced Eagle Rare 12, a new permanent expression joining the Eagle Rare portfolio.

Crafted from the distillery’s Mashbill #1, Eagle Rare 12 has been aged for a minimum of 12 years before bottling at 95 proof (47.5% ABV). This release builds upon the core Eagle Rare character while offering added depth and maturity.

The bourbon is said to open with aromas of sweet oak and delicate hints of almond, followed by a palate described as bold and complex, showcasing subtle vanilla and toasted oak. The finish is rich and lingering, with warm notes of toffee.

Eagle Rare 12 will begin rolling out across the United States this month at a suggested retail price of $49.99 per 750 ml bottle. Distribution to international markets is expected to begin in fall 2025.
