Buffalo Trace Distillery, owned by Sazerac, is set to open its new brand home in London, located in Covent Garden on May 6th, marking a significant moment for the distillery’s expansion into the United Kingdom.
CEO and president Jake Wenz expressed excitement about the opening, emphasizing the opportunity to introduce Bourbon to a broader audience in the UK. The distillery aims to create an inviting space for both novices and enthusiasts to explore and appreciate Bourbon whiskey.
Visitors can pre-book tickets for two distinct tasting experiences available at the on-site bars:
- Taste of the Trace: A guided tasting featuring Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Rye, and Bourbon Cream, with the option to enjoy a Buffalo and Ginger Ale cocktail.
- Tradition & Change: Crafting the Most Awarded American Whiskey: A more intimate experience showcasing premium expressions like White Dog Mash #1, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare 10-Year-Old, EH Taylor Small Batch, and a small pour of a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned.
The 2,000 square feet store is designed to reflect the distillery’s craftsmanship and heritage.
In addition to tastings, visitors can purchase from Buffalo Trace’s portfolio of whiskeys, exclusive merchandise, and select rare bottlings available during the opening months.
Global brand director Andrew Duncan highlighted Buffalo Trace‘s longstanding dedication to whiskey craftsmanship, innovation, and experimentation. The London location aims to replicate the authentic experience of the Kentucky flagship distillery for a new generation of spirits enthusiasts.
Starting May 6th, the store will welcome visitors from Monday to Saturday, 11am to 9pm, and on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm. This expansion represents Buffalo Trace’s commitment to sharing its award-winning brands and heritage with an international audience.
