Glengoyne Distillery unveils the latest addition to the Russell Family Cask Trilogy—a 38-Year-Old Single Malt matured in a first-fill American oak sherry butt. With an ABV of 56.8% and only 241 bottles available worldwide, this release is a rare and remarkable expression that celebrates the legacy of the Russell family, the owners of Glengoyne.
Cask #915, carefully chosen by three generations of the Russell family—Peter, Leonard, and Tom Russell—highlights their dedication to creating whiskies of exceptional quality. This special selection reflects the family’s deep connection to Glengoyne’s heritage and their commitment to sharing rare, handcrafted single malts with whisky enthusiasts globally.
Tom Russell, representing the fourth generation of the family, shares:
“We are first and foremost a family business, and growing up for me was full of family dinners, conversation flowing, quick wit, and healthy debates. The Russell Cask Trilogy brings this to life. The 38-Year-Old is a remarkable dram, and we had no doubt we needed to bottle it. The series is a special part of our past, but releasing it is raising a glass to our future.”
