Limited to just 200 bottles worldwide, this remarkable blend features some of the rarest whiskies in the brand’s reserves, including liquid from now-closed distilleries.
The creation of this whisky pays tribute to the legacy of John Walker and his son Alexander Walker, whose combined lifetimes inspired the blend’s age of 52 years.
Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker described the release as “a testament to the art of whisky blending,” noting that her team meticulously selected some of the brand’s oldest and most precious casks. The blend incorporates six Highland single malts and two Lowland single grains, showcasing unparalleled depth and complexity.

The blend’s profile is a journey through diverse and intricate flavors:
- Cambus and Carsebridge grain whiskies lend notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and spice, layered with tea leaves and menthol.
- Blair Athol malt whisky adds fruit-forward tones of raisins, currants, and orange peel, balanced by wood spice and tropical fruit.
- Glenury Royal and Glenlochy contribute richness with flavors of berries and confectionery fruits alongside an intriguing oiliness.
- Glen Albyn and Dalwhinnie introduce salinity, cured meat, and cacao to the blend.
- Finally, a touch of Brora malt adds a distinctive note of soft smoke, blue cheese, and profound complexity.

Bottled at 41.2% ABV, the whisky is presented in an elegant decanter befitting its rarity. Priced at £23,500 (US$25,000), the Johnnie Walker Aged 52 Years can be obtained through Diageo’s private client teams and selected luxury retailers.
