The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) has announced the launch of its Winter Series, a limited-edition collection of four single cask whiskies celebrating the defining moments of the colder months — from Halloween and Christmas to Hogmanay and Burns Night.
Each release in the Winter Series is themed around a beloved seasonal celebration, reflecting the Society’s passion for whisky as an expression of mood, atmosphere, and artistry. Every bottle features a bespoke label marked with one of the letters ‘S’, ‘M’, ‘W’, or ‘S’ — together spelling out the Society’s iconic acronym — and original artwork capturing the festive spirit of each occasion.
Available as a complete collection (£325) or in individual monthly releases, the series will be available via www.smws.com starting 17 October. The first release, Spirit of Halloween, is available now. Each expression is strictly limited to fewer than 300 bottles.
