The House of Suntory Unveils Hibiki x Hiroshi Senju Artist Collaboration

The House of Suntory has announced an exquisite new collaboration between its world-renowned blended Japanese whisky Hibiki and celebrated Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju.

In this partnership, Senju unveils his original painting “Waterfall on Colors ‘Hibiki’”, featuring ten shades of purple inspired by Kokimurasaki — a deep, noble hue symbolizing Hibiki’s refinement, rarity, and devotion to craftsmanship. The artwork graces two exceptional limited releases: Hibiki 21 Years Old and Hibiki 30 Years Old.

For the Hibiki 21 Years Old Artist Edition, Senju’s serene waterfall imagery adorns both the bottle label and presentation box, embodying harmony between nature, art, and whisky. The whisky itself is described as offering “a blooming, elegant roundness harmonized with deep layers of honeycomb, sandalwood, and dried apricot, complemented by the subtle complexity of Mizunara oak. The finish is long and graceful, unfolding delicately with incense-like notes.”

The Hibiki 30 Years Old Artist Edition takes artistry and craftsmanship to new heights. Presented in a traditional byōbu-style display with multi-panel screens, a reflective base, and a crystal bottle wrapped in cascading waterfall imagery, it stands as a collectible masterpiece. The whisky delivers “a complete and resonating journey of brown sugar, dried fig, gingerbread, and apricot jam, with the depth of Mizunara oak enriched by a warm touch of cinnamon.”

Both expressions are bottled at 43% ABV and will be available in limited quantities worldwide beginning this month.
