Heaven Hill Distillery proudly announces the launch of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 25th Anniversary Edition, commemorating a quarter-century since the acquisition of the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.
A Legacy of Resilience
Following the devastating fire at the Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery in November 1996, Heaven Hill acquired the Bernheim Distillery in April 1999, marking a new chapter in the company’s history. The barrels selected for this release were filled in September 1999, aged for 13 years, and eventually bottled in February 2024 at 100 proof (50% ABV). Recognizing the exceptional quality of these barrels at 13 years old, Heaven Hill reserved them for a special occasion, the 25th Anniversary Edition. Notably, December 13, 1935, holds significance for Heaven Hill as it marks the day the company filled its first barrel.
Tasting Notes
The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 25th Anniversary Edition tantalizes the senses with aromas of cinnamon toast, followed by nuances of nutmeg, allspice, and sweet oak. On the palate, indulgent flavors of rich honey and vanilla intertwine with notes of baking spices, creating a harmonious balance. The finish is smooth and warm, with lingering hints of oak and a subtle peppery finale.
Exclusive VVS Release
Part of the prestigious Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series, the 25th Anniversary Edition is a VVS (Very Very Special) release, distinguished by its maroon label. It follows previous VVS releases, including the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 14 Year Old in 2018 and the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 16 Year Old in 2020.

Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 25th Anniversary Edition will be offered on a limited basis exclusively at select Kentucky retailers, the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience in Bardstown. Priced at $229 for a 750ml bottle.
