Michter’s has confirmed the upcoming release of the 2025 US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Whiskey, set to arrive in September in limited quantities.
This expression is crafted by taking fully matured barrels of Michter’s Sour Mash Whiskey and transferring them into toasted, uncharred barrels for an additional period of aging, adding unique depth and complexity to the whiskey.
The 2025 edition is described as offering notes of rich honey, burnt sugar, and citrus spice, layered with smoky vanilla reminiscent of a campfire.
Michter’s US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Whiskey is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) and will retail at a suggested price of $110.
