Michter’s Distillery has confirmed the upcoming release of its Michter’s 10 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon, set to arrive in April 2025. Priced at $195 RRP for a 750ml bottle in the U.S., availability in the European market has yet to be determined.
As with all Michter’s aged releases, the decision to bottle is based on maturation readiness rather than a fixed timeline. Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson oversee the selection process, continuing the approach established by Michter’s first Kentucky Master Distiller, Willie Pratt.
Michter’s President Joseph J. Magliocco emphasized this philosophy: “Rather than on a strict age schedule, at Michter’s we bottle whiskey when our production team deems it fully matured.”
Wilson added: “It is such an exciting time when we are reviewing barrels for consideration for this release. This year’s 10 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon is again overaged beyond 10 years. It opens with a very inviting nose and draws you in like a good movie with its character development and complexity, leaving you satisfied through to the finish.”
Bottled at 47.2% ABV (94.4 proof), Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon joins a portfolio that includes Bourbon, Rye, Sour Mash Whiskey, and American Whiskey, each produced in small batches.
