Maker’s Mark Unveils 2025 Wood Finishing Series: The Keepers Release

Maker’s Mark continues its exploration of innovative bourbon-making with the launch of the 2025 Wood Finishing Series: The Keepers Release. This limited-edition expression is part of an evolving series dedicated to enhancing the natural characteristics of Maker’s Mark bourbon through wood stave-finishing techniques.

While the first chapter of the series (2019–2023) highlighted the production process influencing Maker’s Mark’s flavor, the current chapter, starting with The Heart Release in 2024, shifts focus to the teams driving the brand’s craftsmanship.

The Keepers Release pays homage to the warehouse team, responsible for manually rotating each barrel of Maker’s Mark to ensure consistent maturation aligned with the founders’ original vision.

Bottled at 54.6% ABV (109.2 proof), this bourbon offers a complex profile:

  • Nose: Seasoned wood, brûléed sugar, and tobacco.
  • Palate: Bold toasted oak balanced by subtle sweetness.
  • Finish: Long and enveloping, with notes of dried dark fruit and lingering roasted sweetness.

Available now in the U.S., The Keepers Release is priced at $74.99 for a 750 ml bottle.
