The London Distillery Company (LDC) has announced the launch of New Forms, an ambitious new collection of single cask, single malt whiskies that explores the untapped potential of the distillery’s original spirit through cask finishes never previously used by the historic London producer.
Launching on 12 June 2026, the inaugural release comprises three cask strength expressions: Ex-Bourbon Cask, Fino Sherry Cask, and Moscatel Sherry Cask. Each whisky has been finished in carefully selected first-fill casks designed to push LDC’s distinctive barley-forward spirit into entirely new territory while retaining the character that defines the distillery.
The project reflects the revived company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and its exploration of inherited whisky stocks following its return in 2025.
The sherry casks used for the series were sourced from renowned Spanish cooperage Tonelería JL Rodríguez, with whom Whisky Maker Matt McKay has collaborated on previous projects. The result is a trio of whiskies showcasing dramatically different flavour profiles, from the bright salinity of Fino Sherry to the rich sweetness of Moscatel and the distillate-driven purity of fresh Bourbon oak.
All three releases are bottled at natural cask strength, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
A unique feature of the series is its presentation. Each bottle is housed in an individual carton featuring artwork that forms a complete image when displayed together. The cartons can also be arranged in different orders, symbolising how a shared spirit can evolve into vastly different expressions depending on the cask influence.

New Forms: Ex-Bourbon Cask

60.7% ABV | 222 bottles
Nose: Honey on buttered toast, ripe banana, sweet lemon zest, tropical fruits, pineapple, vanilla blossom and toasted grains.
Palate: Buttery caramel, toasted oak, cinnamon, bitter lemon zest and rich charred notes.
Finish: Lingering oak, toasted bread, fresh banana and tart green apple.
New Forms: Fino Sherry Cask
First-fill Fino Sherry Hogshead #9001
61.4% ABV | 347 bottles
Nose: Candied lemon peel, golden plum, nectarine, peach blossom, rose petals, brown butter and baking spices.
Palate: Citrus peel, tropical fruit, warming spices, white pepper, clove, coffee notes and subtle salinity.
Finish: Peach loaf, stone fruits, citrus oils, oak and toasted spices.
New Forms: Moscatel Sherry Cask
First-fill Moscatel Sherry Hogshead #9008
61.6% ABV | 345 bottles
Nose: Caramelised orange peel, lemon zest, poached peaches, baked apples, icing sugar and dusty oak.
Palate: Rich brown butter, citrus fruits, nectarine, orange blossom, burnt toffee, cinnamon and ginger spice.
Finish: Toasted oak, almonds, walnut skin, bitter citrus peel and lingering warming spices.
The New Forms series will be released on 12 June 2026 with an RRP of £75 per bottle or £200 for the complete three-bottle collection. The whiskies will be available directly from the distillery and selected specialist retailers.
