Introduction to the Heritage Collection
Heaven Hill has once again revealed its highly anticipated Heritage Collection whiskey, a yearly offering that showcases the distillery’s oldest aging stocks. The 2024 Heritage Collection features an 18-year-old straight bourbon, meticulously crafted from one of the six traditional Heaven Hill mashbills.
Distinct Bourbon Blend
This year’s Heritage Collection boasts an 18-year-old straight bourbon, comprising 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye, and is bottled at 60% ABV.
Exclusive Aging and Bottling Details
Crafted from a blend of 133 barrels distilled in December 2005, this exceptional whiskey was aged entirely on the third floor of Rickhouse 1I at Heaven Hill’s Bernheim Distillery in Louisville. Unique details about the aging process and more are prominently featured on the bottle. The 2024 Heritage Collection will hit shelves in March at a price of around £300.
A Legacy of Exceptional Releases
This marks the third release in Heaven Hill’s esteemed Heritage Collection, following the previous offerings of a 20-year-old corn whiskey last year and a 17-year-old barrel-proof bourbon, which combined 17, 19, and 20-year-old whiskeys in 2022. The Heritage Collection was inspired by the remarkable success of two earlier releases in 2018 and 2020, including a 27-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon and a commemorative bottling for the distillery’s 85th anniversary.
Abundant Aging Stocks
Heaven Hill’s vast reserves include just under two million barrels aging at its six rickhouse sites across Nelson and Jefferson Counties, with almost 70 warehouses in total and ongoing expansion.
