Glengoyne Distillery has received a major tourism accolade after being voted one of the UK’s top visitor attractions by North American tourists travelling with CIE Tours.
The recognition was announced during the company’s annual Awards of Excellence ceremony held in Glasgow in Spring 2026. Now in their 14th year, the awards celebrate the UK’s best hotels and tourism experiences based entirely on genuine guest feedback.
CIE Tours, one of the largest operators bringing US visitors to the UK, reviewed more than 200 tourism providers and gathered feedback from over 12,000 travellers who visited the UK in 2025.
Stephen Cotter, Managing Director of CIE Tours, commented:
“2025 was another successful year for us with visitor numbers remaining strong despite inflationary pressures on both partners and customers. A major reason for this is the quality of experience our customers receive from our UK providers.”
He also noted the growing number of tourism businesses achieving customer satisfaction ratings above 90%.

She added that the distillery welcomes a significant number of overseas visitors every year, particularly from the United States, making the award especially rewarding for the team.
Often described as “Scotland’s most beautiful distillery,” Glengoyne has become one of the country’s leading whisky tourism destinations. Visitors can choose from a range of immersive experiences, including the popular Malt Master Experience, where guests tour the distillery, sample five single cask whiskies, and create their own bespoke Glengoyne single malt to take home.
The award further strengthens Glengoyne’s reputation as one of Scotland’s must-visit whisky destinations for international travellers and whisky enthusiasts alike.
