Bunnahabhain Unveils An Cuan Garbh No.1 in New Westering Home Collection Chapter

Bunnahabhain Distillery has revealed An Cuan Garbh No.1, the latest release in its acclaimed Westering Home Collection — a whisky series inspired by Islay’s iconic anthem and the emotional journey of returning home.

The new bottling marks the beginning of the collection’s second chapter for 2026: An Cuan Garbh (“The Rough Sea”). It follows 2025’s Turas Math (“Setting Sail”) releases and continues the story across a planned three-year series.

A 15-Year-Old Finished in White Port Casks

The first release in the new chapter is a 15-year-old single malt, finished in White Port casks sourced from Portugal’s Douro Valley.

Bottled at 51.6% ABV, the whisky is presented with:

  • No added colour
  • Non-chill filtration
  • Natural character preserved throughout

The White Port influence brings a bright, elegant sweetness that complements Bunnahabhain’s signature coastal style.
