To mark a decade of whisky making, Glasgow Distillery has unveiled its oldest bottling to date—Glasgow 1770 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
This release comes from the 10th cask ever filled at the distillery, a refill bourbon barrel (cask no. 15/10) filled on March 20, 2015 with unpeated, double-distilled spirit. It was matured until March 24, 2025, and bottled at cask strength 54% ABV, yielding just 230 bottles.
Official tasting notes highlight a nose of green apple, pear, lychee, pineapple, and citrus marmalade, followed by a soft, balanced palate with vanilla custard, lemon zest, baked apple, and floral heather honey. The finish lingers with white chocolate, crème brûlée, desiccated coconut, and a touch of warming cinnamon.
The bottling is available exclusively to members of the Glasgow Distillery Community, launching April 15 at 10:00 am via the distillery’s website. It is priced at £69, with a limit of one bottle per person.
