Berry Bros. & Rudd has revealed the 2026 Odyssey Collection, titled The Auld and the Bold – an annual themed selection of 20 single-cask releases spanning Scotch whisky, world whisky, rum and Cognac.
Following the successful debut of the Odyssey series in 2024, this year’s edition explores the enduring influence of Scotch whisky on distillers around the world, while celebrating the creativity and individuality that define today’s global spirits landscape.
Celebrating Heritage and Innovation
Curated around the theme of tradition meeting innovation, The Auld and the Bold showcases how classic Scottish whisky-making techniques continue to inspire producers across the globe.
Felix Dear, Spirits Curator at Berry Bros. & Rudd, explained:
“For this year’s Odyssey collection, we wanted to explore the relationship between heritage and innovation. Scotch whisky remains the benchmark that has inspired generations of distillers, but some of the most exciting spirits being made today are emerging from places far beyond Scotland.”
He added that whether a whisky comes from Speyside, Tasmania, Yorkshire or New Zealand, the collection is united by craftsmanship, character and a strong sense of place.
A Journey Through Scotland… and Beyond
The Scottish line-up highlights the remarkable diversity of Scotch whisky, featuring exceptional single casks from Glenlossie, Glencadam, Blair Athol, Longmorn, Glen Garioch, Tamdhu, Caol Ila, Williamson and Ruadh Mhor.
Among the standout releases is a 1975 Glenlossie, alongside a Blair Athol finished in a rare Viognier cask, rich sherry-matured expressions, and several peated bottlings showcasing Scotland’s renowned whisky-making heritage.
Beyond Scotland, the collection travels across the whisky world with releases from:
- Lark (Australia)
- Paul John (India)
- Thomson (New Zealand)
- Spirit of Yorkshire (England)
- Thy (Denmark)
- Teerenpeli (Finland)
Together, they demonstrate how local barley, climate and maturation create distinctive whiskies while remaining rooted in traditional Scotch production methods.
Rum and Cognac Complete the Collection
The Odyssey Collection also expands beyond whisky with three outstanding Caribbean rums from Foursquare, Diamond and the legendary Caroni, each highlighting a different style of tropical maturation and flavour.
Completing the line-up is an exceptional 35-year-old Cognac from Frapin, distilled in France, matured in the UK and bottled at natural cask strength.
