Ian Macleod Distillers (IMD) has unveiled its new Private Client Business, offering collectors, investors and whisky enthusiasts direct access to some of the rarest casks and limited-edition bottlings in Scotland. The new division provides clients with the opportunity to purchase exceptional whisky directly from the distillery owner, guaranteeing provenance, authenticity and confidence.
Among the highlights are rare Tamdhu sherry casks dating back to the 1960s, some of the last remaining Rosebank casks distilled before the distillery closed in 1993, and an impressive selection of Glengoyne bourbon and sherry casks from the 1970s onwards. Collectors looking to invest in the future will also have access to new make spirit casks from Laggan Bay Distillery, Ian Macleod Distillers’ newest Islay project.
One of the company’s greatest strengths is its unique portfolio. With distilleries located across the Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay, Ian Macleod Distillers is one of only two Scotch whisky companies able to offer privately owned single casks from all four of Scotland’s principal whisky-producing regions.
Beyond cask ownership, members of the Private Client Business will receive priority access to highly limited bottlings, exclusive future releases and bespoke whisky experiences unavailable to the general public.
The new venture will be led by William Ovens, Head of Private Clients, alongside Stuart Hendry, Private Client Director. Together they bring nearly five decades of experience within the premium spirits industry.
