Benriach Distillery has announced the launch of its oldest and most exclusive bottling to date: Benriach 1966 Cask 50 Years Old. This rare release, drawn from a single bourbon cask first filled on 21 September 1966, marks the distillery’s first expression to be aged for half a century.
With only an estimated 37 bottles available, each bottle of this exceptional whisky is presented in a bespoke crystal decanter. The decanter is housed in a presentation box crafted by master artisan John Galvin, designed to reflect the diverse array of casks found in Benriach’s historic warehouses where the 1966 cask matured for 50 years.
Benriach’s master blender, Rachel Barrie, highlighted the distillery’s dedication to creative whisky making and exceptional cask maturation. She commented,

Priced at £25,000, Benriach 1966 Cask 50 Years Old will debut in Asia in May 2024, with subsequent releases in select global markets from June to October.
