Chivas Brothers’ acclaimed single malt brand Aberlour has announced the launch of a new limited-edition Sherry Cask Collection — an elevated exploration of the distillery’s signature high-strength A’Bunadh whisky.
The collection celebrates Aberlour’s deep connection to Sherry cask maturation, offering whisky lovers a chance to experience the full spectrum of influence imparted by Spain’s finest casks.
Crafted under the direction of Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshank, A’Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection Edition One is finished in two types of first-fill Sherry casks — Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez — each selected for their aromatic depth and rich, layered complexity.
Bottled at 56.2% ABV, the whisky is presented non-chill filtered and at natural cask strength, preserving its full-bodied texture and authentic character.

Tasting Notes – A’Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection Edition One
Nose: Red apples, blackberries, sultanas, caramel wafers, demerara sugar, cinnamon, and stem ginger.
Palate: Blackcurrant, spiced pears, vanilla toffee, sticky dates, raisins, oak spice, and star anise.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of dried fruit and sweet spice.
Each future edition in the A’Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection will showcase a unique expression of Sherry influence — continuing Aberlour’s legacy of craftsmanship, richness, and intensity.
Aberlour A’Bunadh Sherry Cask Collection Edition One will be available in select global markets starting October 2025, with a suggested retail price of £95 (US$128).
