Tobermory Distillery has released the final expression in its Hebridean Series, the Tobermory 27 Year Old. This collection of limited-edition single malts, ranging from 23 to 27 years old, pays tribute to the rich heritage, landscapes, and maritime influences of the Isle of Mull. The inspiration for the concluding release, the 27 Year Old, comes from Duart Castle, a landmark overlooking the Sound of Mull and symbolizing the essence of farewell.
This whisky was first matured in bourbon casks for 15 years, followed by a 12-year finish in González Byass Sherry casks, resulting in a complex and rich profile. Bottled at 53.1% ABV, it is non-chill filtered, preserving the whisky’s natural character.
