The Singleton Unveils The Gourmand Collection: Whiskies Inspired by French Desserts

The Singleton has announced The Gourmand Collection, a new limited-edition range showcasing the longest secondary maturation in the brand’s history. Each release in the collection is designed to evoke the sensory experience of a classic dessert, with flavour profiles developed in collaboration with renowned pastry chef Nicolas Rouzaud.

The collection comprises three 42-year-old single malts from the Glen Ord Distillery-limited to 136 sets, each finished to complement the dessert it represents. The whiskies are:

  • “Notes of Fig & Chocolate Ganache” (46.8% ABV): A rich and warming profile featuring melted chocolate, clove, baking spice, and deep vanilla.
  • “Notes of Caramelised Crème Brûlée” (45.3% ABV): Creamy and rounded, with sweet and toasty notes of baked custard and caramel.
  • “Notes of Black Cherry Gâteau” (45.5% ABV): A more robust expression, offering aromas of ripe black cherries, cocoa, and black pepper.

While pricing and bottle availability have not been disclosed, Diageo notes that enquiries can be submitted via its Rare and Exceptional website.

Each whisky is paired with a specially created dessert by Nicolas Rouzaud, designed to enhance the experience of tasting the spirit. These pairings will be featured during The Singleton Gourmand Experience x Nicolas Rouzaud, a limited-time event hosted at Justerini & Brooks in London’s Burlington Arcade.

The tasting experience is priced at £275 per person, with sessions running daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM between April 28 and May 5, 2025. Tickets are available via justerinis.com and Eventbrite.
