The Lost Distillery Company Releases New Expressions
The Lost Distillery Company, a renowned Scotch whisky brand, has introduced two new expressions to its collection: the Lossit 27 Year Old and Towiemore 25 Year Old. These new releases aim to replicate the distinctive flavors of historic distilleries.
Recreating Historic Flavors
The Lost Distillery Company specializes in creating blended Scotch whisky that is inspired by the flavor profiles of closed distilleries. The Towiemore distillery, located in Speyside, operated from 1898 to 1931, while the Lossit distillery was based in Islay from 1817 to 1867.
Limited Edition Offerings
Both new expressions are strictly limited, with only 210 bottles of the Lossit and 330 bottles of the Towiemore available worldwide.
Founder’s Enthusiasm
Scott Watson, the founder and CEO of Lost Distillery, expressed his enthusiasm for these new releases, stating: “Lossit 27 Year Old and Towiemore 25 Year Old represent living history. We are proud to protect and regenerate Scotland’s lost whisky heritage.”
Flavor Profiles
The Lossit 27 Year Old presents notes of oak and smoke, leading to leather and chocolate, and finishing with a tropical twist. On the other hand, the Towiemore 25 Year Old boasts notes of sweet fruits, Madeira cake, Sherry, and roasted almonds.
