Independent bottler The Heart Cut has announced a new whisky subscription service: The Slow Whisky Club, launching across the UK from 14th April 2025. Positioned as a more thoughtful and immersive alternative to conventional whisky boxes, the subscription aims to offer not just bottles, but an entire experience tailored to each individual member’s tastes.
Each delivery includes a full-sized bottle of The Heart Cut’s own whisky, selected to match the subscriber’s flavour preferences, along with two beers – one lower in ABV – chosen to complement the featured release. The pairing concept aligns with The Heart Cut’s signature ‘Half + Heart’ approach, designed to encourage a more dynamic and sessionable way of enjoying whisky.
The box also contains:
- Two 3cl whisky samples, offering a look into what the team at The Heart Cut is currently enjoying.
- Tasting notes providing insight into the whisky and the distillery behind it.
- A bespoke Spotify playlist curated to accompany the tasting session.
- A custom-designed drinks coaster, thematically tied to the featured bottle.
The Slow Whisky Club also spotlights The Heart Cut’s growing collaborations with UK craft breweries such as Wiper + True, Good Chemistry, Newbarns, and Small Beer Co., bridging beer and whisky in a way that reflects the rising trend of so-called “zebra striping” – the art of pairing high-ABV spirits with lower-strength beverages.
Founded by Georgie Bell and Fabrizio Leoni, The Heart Cut was created to foster exploration and discovery in the whisky world. This latest initiative is a continuation of that mission.
Memberships begin at £84 per box, with flexible options for one-off purchases or recurring deliveries every two or three months.
