The Glasgow Distillery has unveiled a new permanent addition to its acclaimed core range — Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured — a bold expression that celebrates the city’s whisky-making heritage and innovation.
Batch 01 of Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is a perfectly balanced marriage of three casks of unpeated double-distilled spirit and three casks of peated double-distilled spirit (50PPM phenol count). Matured exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of eight years, this release embodies the modern Glasgow style — rich, layered, and full of character.
Bottled at a robust 54% ABV cask strength, the whisky delivers an enticing profile of rich vanilla, floral honey, and gentle sweet smoke, complemented by zesty citrus, buttery shortbread, and tropical undertones, leading to a long, oak-spiced finish.
Limited to just 1,400 bottles, Batch 01 will be available starting Tuesday, November 4th via The Glasgow Distillery’s website and select UK retailers, priced at £57 RRP.
