Bowmore and Aston Martin have announced the release of the final expression in their esteemed collaborative series, the Masters’ Selection. This highly anticipated edition, the Bowmore Masters’ Selection Edition 4, is a 21-year-old single malt whisky, matured in a combination of tawny port American oak and oloroso sherry casks.
The Masters’ Selection series has been a testament to the expertise and craftsmanship of both Bowmore and Aston Martin, two iconic brands in their respective fields. The collaboration, which began in 2019, has also given rise to the Designed by Aston Martin series and a remarkable 52-year-old Bowmore presented in a sculptural decanter.
Celebration of Expertise
The Bowmore Masters’ Selection Edition 4 encapsulates the journey of the collaboration, combining elements from the previous three releases to create a finale that celebrates both flavor and complexity. Ron Welsh, the former master blender who crafted the whisky before his retirement, commented on the release: “This fourth and final edition of Masters’ Selection defines the journey of this collaboration to date with absolute perfection. We’ve brought together components of the previous three releases to realize the finale of the series to celebrate both flavor and complexity.“

Tasting Notes and Availability
The Bowmore Masters’ Selection Edition 4 boasts a complex flavor profile with notes of salted toffee, orange zest, thyme, and milk chocolate. This exceptional whisky, bottled at 51.4% ABV, will be available in selected markets starting July 2024, with a recommended retail price of £425.
