Rosebank Distillery has been awarded Scotland’s Tourism Destination of the Year at the 2025 Scottish Whisky Awards, firmly establishing it as one of the nation’s most significant and celebrated whisky experiences.
The award recognises the single most outstanding visitor experience in Scottish whisky tourism each year. Previous winners include Johnnie Walker Princes Street and the Scotch Whisky Experience, placing Rosebank alongside Scotland’s most influential whisky destinations.
This latest honour follows Rosebank’s remarkable global success in San Francisco, where the Rosebank 31 Year Old Lowland Single Malt was named Best in Show, Whisk(e)y at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition—one of the most prestigious accolades in world whisky.

A historic distillery reborn
Founded in Falkirk in 1840, Rosebank Distillery reopened to visitors in June 2024 following a meticulous restoration after three decades of closure. The visitor experience offers:
- an immersive 90-minute tour of the working distillery
- insight into Rosebank’s triple distillation process
- tutored tastings in custom-built tasting rooms
- a deep dive into the story of Rosebank’s revival
Since reopening in 2024, Rosebank has welcomed over 31,000 visitors from more than 38 countries, with strong support from international travel trade partners who now feature the distillery prominently in their Scottish itineraries.
A destination for collectors and enthusiasts
The Rosebank shop hosts the world’s largest collection of rare historic Rosebank whiskies distilled at the original site, alongside distillery merchandise and locally produced goods.
Production officially resumed on 18 July 2023, with Rosebank continuing to lay down casks destined to become the next generation of Rosebank Lowland Single Malt.
