The Echlinville Distillery, located in Northern Ireland, proudly announces the launch of “Echlinville – The Beginning,” marking the first whiskey release from Ireland’s pioneering Single Estate distillery.
A Journey from Grain to Glass
Echlinville – The Beginning embodies the distillery’s commitment to authenticity and provenance. Every aspect of production, from mashing and fermenting the grains to casking, maturing the spirit, and filling and labeling the bottles, has been meticulously carried out on-site at the distillery farm.
A Unique Blend of Whiskeys
This inaugural release is a vatting of seven to nine-year-old whiskeys, exclusively distilled from barley grown, harvested, and floor malted on Echlinville’s own farm. The release features a seven-year-old double distilled Pot Still and Single Malt whiskey, limited to 750 sets presented in a custom box.

Shane Braniff, owner of Echlinville Distillery, expressed his excitement:
“This is a momentous day for everyone at Echlinville as we unveil our inaugural Echlinville Single Estate Whiskey release. A whiskey that is inherent to our land. A whiskey that values provenance, community, tradition, and authenticity.“
He added that the whiskey reflects the unique characteristics of their location:
“Echlinville – The Beginning is a reflection of everything that is great about this small corner of Ireland — the fertile soil, temperate micro-climate, saline air and the people who crafted these whiskeys from the ground up.“
Tasting Notes
Single Pot Still Whiskey – Double Distilled – Bourbon Cask 7 Years Old:
Sweet vanilla cream soda, fresh kiwi, papaya fruits, fragrant pine with menthol, toasted almonds, ginger, and warming white pepper spice, all wrapped in luxurious Pot Still creaminess.
Single Malt Whiskey – Double Distilled – Bourbon Cask & New American Oak Cask 7 Years Old:
Soft orchard fruits, fresh citrus, herbal notes, wild meadow honey, citrus fruits, peach, blood orange, red berry, coffee, chocolate, salted almonds, and a finish of cedar, clove, tobacco, ginger, and cinnamon spice.
Availability and Pricing
Echlinville – The Beginning will be available for purchase starting June 1st at the Echlinville Distillery and selected retailers such as Celtic Whiskey Shop, James J Fox Dublin, Carry Out Killarney, Green Acres of Wexford, Irish Malts, and Weisshaus Shop. The recommended retail price is £350 / €395, with purchases limited to two per person.
