Ian Macleod Distillers has revealed a refreshed design for its Glengoyne 18- and 21-year-old single malts, reflecting the distillery’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The new packaging is fully recyclable, made with locally sourced materials just miles from the distillery near the Highland Line. Each box features an elegant gatefold design that opens to reveal a photograph by local artist Richard Fox, capturing the breathtaking view from the summit of nearby Dumgoyne hill—a location symbolic of Glengoyne’s connection to place and tradition.
The bottles themselves are produced using 49% recycled glass, and like the outer packaging, are entirely recyclable. This update follows Glengoyne’s pioneering sustainability work, including being the first Scotch whisky distillery to adopt a natural wetlands filtration system, using reed beds and pools to cleanse wastewater before it flows into Loch Lomond.
Glengoyne 18 Year Old is matured in a mix of oloroso Sherry and refill casks, offering a rich and refined profile with notes of macerated fruits, marzipan, walnuts, warm spices, dry cocoa, and Seville marmalade.

Glengoyne 21 Year Old Sherry Oak delivers a deeply layered experience, with notes of Christmas cake, honey, rich dried fruits, and cinnamon spice, all hallmarks of its extended Sherry cask maturation.
