Dhavall Gandhi Unveils The YUKARI Collection

Avant-garde whiskymaker and artistic director Dhavall Gandhi is launching The YUKARI Collection in 2025, a series inspired by Japanese art and cultural icons. The name “YUKARI” signifies deep connections between people, places, and things, a theme reflected throughout the collection.

Recognized for his work with The Macallan and as a key figure in establishing The Lakes Distillery’s award-winning style, Dhavall Gandhi has earned a reputation for excellence. Through his firm, DHAVALL GANDHI, often regarded as the “haute couture” of whisky-making, he continues to push creative boundaries.

In addition to his whisky expertise, Dhavall founded KANDOBLANC, a maison dedicated to preserving heritage art forms at risk of extinction. Its first creation, AGA, debuted at the 2023 Distiller’s One of One auction, setting two world records and establishing Dhavall’s artistic vision.

The YUKARI Collection will feature three unique pieces, each highlighting a rare heritage technique and an exceptionally rare single malt whisky. These creations weave together narratives of tradition, identity, and resilience, emphasizing cultural sustainability.

Dhavall describes KANDOBLANC’s mission as “harmony—cultivating an equal creative dialogue between diverse arts and cultures while serving as a beacon for artistic preservation.” The collection follows in the footsteps of AGA, showcasing a continued commitment to that mission.

The first piece of The YUKARI Collection will be donated to The Worshipful Company of Distillers and The Distiller’s Charity for the Distiller’s One of One auction in October 2025, with proceeds supporting charities for disadvantaged youth in Scotland. The remaining pieces will be available for acquisition through KANDOBLANC.

Further details about The YUKARI Collection will be released in the lead-up to the Distiller’s One of One auction. For more information, visit www.KANDOBLANC.com.
