Bushmills Irish Whiskey has launched the highly anticipated fifth series of its iconic Causeway Collection. This annual selection of rare, single malt Irish whiskeys continues to build on the distillery’s long-standing tradition, with each expression crafted to reflect the spirit of the North Antrim Coast, where Bushmills has operated since 1608.
The 2024 Causeway Collection introduces eight new expressions, ranging in age from 10 to 23 years, with limited availability across global markets including France, Germany, Ireland, and for the first time, China.
Master Blender Alex Thomas has carefully curated each whiskey, selecting a variety of cask finishes that showcase the distillery’s innovation. The collection features standout expressions like a 23-Year-Old Madeira, a 2011 Oloroso Sherry, and three firsts for Bushmills: a 10-Year-Old Barolo, a 2010 Double Moscatel, and a 22-Year-Old Mizunara.
Alex Thomas expressed her enthusiasm for the release: “This series is very special. The Barolo cask finish, known for its bold flavours, and the 2010 Double Moscatel finish, matured in Oloroso sherry butts and rare Portuguese Moscatel casks, represent our passion for exploring new boundaries in Irish single malts.”
In celebration of this year’s collection, Bushmills has launched the world’s first ‘whiskey wind down’ audio track, narrated by Northern Irish actor Colin Morgan. Inspired by the dramatic landscape of the Giant’s Causeway, the audio experience is designed to enhance the tasting of these exceptional whiskeys.
The 2024 Causeway Collection is cask strength, non-chill filtered, and ranges in price from $101 to $507.
